You Are Never Useless

It’s easy to feel overlooked and forgotten sometimes. Especially when you’re working through the daily grind and all the days seem to blend together; and all your best efforts don’t go as expected, but just seem to be piling up in heaps of rubble on the floor. Does it matter? Is there any significance to any of it? These questions can sink into our hearts and make us doubt our work and our worth. If that’s you today, then I want to encourage you. Whatever you do, if you do it to the glory of the Lord, it’s never useless. Whether that’s working in ministry, at the church, in the workplace, at home with family, or on the road with strangers.
Both yourself and your work is never useless!
In 1 Corinthians 15:58, we’re reminded to stay strong and immovable, and to work enthusiastically for the Lord. That means getting excited about whatever we put our hand to, as we work for the Lord and keep our eyes on Jesus. His great grace and mercy towards us reminds us that He not only sees us, but He values us. So, get out there and do whatever you do to the best of your ability, giving the glory to God, and know that He sees you.
“So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” - 1 Corinthians 15:58
